Welcome to Elderbob's Back Porch:

I'm balding now, and not known locally as a hippie, but I am still a bit of a madman, as I have described in my profile. I have known and admired Vance for a number of years now, joining in with he and his merry band of Webheads on many an exciting adventure. I am actually retired although my work record won't prove it. I am currently attending a Masters in Educational Technology class in Brownsville, Texas (close to a thousand miles from where I sit now) and work as a class coordinator for an adult educationg group known as Knowplace.ca (loosely affiliated with Capellano College) in Canada (a long, long way North of here). If I could get flight miles to the places I visit, I could take a vacation every week.

I think this is my third Multi-literacy group. It's not that I really like it that much, but I haven't figured out how to unsubscribe...haha. Actually, I think it is an awesome attempt to understand a really different and difficult phenomena and I applaude Vance's efforts to open this grand channel of learning.

Currently, I reside in Grand Prairie, Texas, just outside of Dallas, have three grown children five grand kids, and two great grand kids, a wonderfully patient wife and a wooden cat that sits docile by the back door.
