Meet Gwen

I am originally from Upstate NY but have spent most of the last years in the city of Jundiaí,In 2001, I graduated with a four year degree and teaching license in English and Portuguese Languages and Literatures from a Uni Anchieta – Jundiaí. For the past 17 or so years, I have worked in language institutes and as a private teacher mainly to adult professionals; although I've also worked with children and adolescents as well as an intensive English summer program at a university back home in NY.

This course interested me because in its description it mentioned not allowing oneself to be buried in the technology. (rephrasing on my part) I expect this course to be a conceptualization of what internet is and what it can be, good and bad. With this knowledge I hope to avoid the pitfalls and be able to use the internet to its fullest in my practice.

I’m looking forward to this course to: help me rationalize and fine tune the online content I implement with my students; prepare me for future professional possibilities; and especially meet and work with colleagues engaged in bettering themselves also.
